When you trust your pet into someone else’s care, it’s a big deal, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. To offer our beloved clients even more peace of mind, we created a signature role, often affectionately referred to internally as our “school nurse,” the Health4PETS® Liaisons. They serve as the bridge between our Resort and Veterinary Clinic services and a direct line of communication for our clients. Health4PETS® Liaisons are your dedicated partner, ensuring your pet’s health, happiness, and well-being while they’re visiting us!

How Do Health4PETS® Liaisons Give Pet Parents Extra Peace of Mind?

When we think of “Health4PETS®,” we’re focusing on all the ways we can support your pet’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being while they’re in our care. The Health4PETS® Liaison role is designed to do exactly that—monitoring eating habits, performing weight checks, and conducting daily snout-to-tail assessments—offering a well-rounded approach to meeting every pet’s unique needs.

Here are some of the ways this role stands out:

  • A Holistic Approach to Pet Care: We believe in treating pets’ physical, mental, and emotional needs as an interconnected whole. We call this our 360° of Happy Health® philosophy, which guides everything our teams do every day, including our Liaisons. As veterinary technicians, our Liaisons are trained to observe, recommend next steps, and consult with senior staff and/or veterinarians to address health concerns as they arise.

  • Integration with Resort Services: Our Liaison team works closely with each department at the Resort to ensure that health is at the core of every experience. Whether it’s communicating with Client Care about a pup’s medication or vaccine needs, offering a walk-in nail trim in support of Grooming Services, or coordinating with the Kennel, Valets, and PLAYtrain® teams on pet-specific behaviors, Liaisons are key to ensuring a comprehensive, integrated approach to your pet's care.

  • Personalized Attention: Every pet is unique, and so are their health needs. Every animal that boards with us receives morning, afternoon, and evening snout-to-tail checks by one of our Health4PETS® Liaisons to make sure they are comfortable and happy throughout their stay. Not only are Liaisons responsible for daily checks with our boarding dogs, but they also provide care and attention to feline friends staying at the Resort, whether that’s a kitty day stay or an overnight boarding.

This level of personalized care helps pets feel at home, giving you peace of mind, knowing they are well taken care of while you're away.

What is a Health4PETS® Liaison, and What Do They Do?

Our Health4PETS®Liaisons are at the heart of your pet’s experience. They are highly trained, dedicated professionals whose focus is supporting the health and well-being of each furry guest in our care. They help create a stress-free, healthy environment for your pet. 

Here’s how they make a difference every day:

  • Daily Wellness Checks: Every boarding pet receives a snout-to-tail assessment three times a day to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and thriving during their stay. From monitoring appetite and energy levels to evaluating skin, coat, and weight, no detail is overlooked. 

  • Administering Care: Whether they’re administering medications, addressing injuries, evaluating potential health concerns, or consulting with our in-house Veterinary Clinic, Liaisons are proactive and ready to act immediately.

  • Coordinating with Pet Parents and Staff: As a bridge between you and our team, Liaisons keep pet parents informed about their pet’s health and care plan, provide updates, discuss concerns, and always consult with you on the best course of action. 

  • Health4PETS® Extras: Liaisons offer walk-in nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, anal gland expressions, and vaccinations like Bordetella (CCV) and Canine Influenza (CIV) for dogs, as well as personalized extras like Personal Playtime, Cuddle Sessions, and Catnip treats for our feline guests. Walk-in services are available Monday-Saturday from 10am-2pm.
