The new year is well under way, and many have PAWsed their resolutions set prior. If your resolution is to get healthier, we’re here to tell you it’s never too late! But what about your pet? Now is the perfect time to re-evaluate your pet’s diet as well. The good news? JM Pet Resort offers FREE nutrition consultations.

Fact: there’s not one specific diet or workout regimen that works the same for everyone! The same is true with your fur-baby! There’s no cure-all for wellness.

Our two Nutrition Consultants are highly experienced in their field and can help you make the right choice to improve your pet’s wellness. Separate from veterinary care, pet nutrition is its own specialty within the animal care realm, and we’re excited to highlight our team members that are here for you on your continual journey of 360º of Happy Health.

Kathee House

The newest member of our Nutrition team, Kathee House has been working with animals her whole life! From Grooming to Boarding, she has experienced the full spectrum of pet care and found her way into a career in nutrition by servicing independent pet stores. Kathee holds various certifications and has logged over 1,000 hours in Canine and Feline Nutrition courses at Tuft’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She was previously enrolled in the clinical nutrition program at UC Davis, and  receives first-hand knowledge from herbalist Bonnie Cavanaugh of 7 Arrows Farm in Seekonk.

A natural problem-solver, Kathee can suggest preventive measures to avoid illness and use food as fuel for your pet. Kathee’s winter recommendation? “Immune system products!” Just like us, seasons can affect a pet’s health. The darker months are when dogs are at higher risk for contracting Kennel Cough and viruses. “Immune system supplements are great all year round, but especially in the fall and winter. I usually suggest chews and powders.” Looking for specifics? Book a complimentary Nutrition Consult with Kathee!
