Welcome to our Veterinary Clinic, where your pet is a part of our family! We support your lifelong harmonious relationship with your fur-baby by providing the quality, compassionate care that you expect and that your pets deserve. We provide preventive medicine, laser treatments, dental, surgical care, and nutrition consulting to support your pet's unique needs. Our facility is conveniently located under the same roof as JM Pet Resort to serve 360° of Happy Health® for pets and pet parents.
Dr. Navang Shetty
Dr. Navang Shetty brings over 6 years of well-rounded, globally informed experience in veterinary medicine, with a particular passion for anesthesia and internal medicine. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Sydney and holds a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Dr. Shetty's career spans two continents and a wide range of clinic settings from general small animal practice to hands-on experience with exotic animals, pocket pets, and local wildlife.
Prior to joining JM Pet Resort & Veterinary Clinic as a relief veterinarian, he served as an Associate Veterinarian and then Medical Director at Wellesley-Natick Veterinary Hospital, following clinical work in New South Wales, Australia!
Dr. Shetty's background and expertise are robust, rooted in both his early years as a veterinary assistant and shelter work at East Bay SPCA and refined through years of small animal and exotics care, making him an excellent leader and a wonderful addition to our Clinic team as Veterinary Medical Director. His thoughtful, thorough approach to patient care emphasizes his commitment to combining clinic excellence with genuine compassion for every animal and family he serves.
Outside of work, Dr. Shetty can be found spending time with his wife and their 2 Maine Coons, Kiwi and Dimples (affectionately referred to as 'Kimples'). Originally from the Bay Area in California, he also enjoys cooking (he's a vegan!), traveling, and playing video games.
Dr. Kristian Sorbo
Dr. Kristian Sorbo brings over 15 years of experience in the UK and the US, with expertise in medicine, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic imaging.
Dr. Sorbo grew up in Norway, where his love for animals was sparked during his summer job milking cows! Known for his warm, friendly demeanor, he meets pet parents where they are on their pet care journey, ensuring every visit feels comfortable and reassuring.
As our Senior Veterinary Medical Advisor, Dr. Sorbo will continue to lend his clinical expertise and steady leadership to our medical team, now with a renewed focus on hands-on patient care. As he and his wife welcome the joys (and long nights) of raising two young children, this next chapter allows him to stay closely connected to what drew him into this work in the first place: the animals and families right in front of him.
When not at work, Dr. Sorbo can be found hiking, skiing, and biking throughout New England and spending time with his wife and their two young children.
Dr. Taisha Morales
For Dr. Taisha Morales, joining JM Pet Resort & Veterinary Clinic as a veterinarian is something of a homecoming. Before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Morales got her start in animal care right here at JMPR as a Kennel Technician and Lead, an early chapter that set her on the path to veterinary medicine.
A recent graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Morales brings a genuine passion for mixed animal medicine, rooted in hands-on experience that started early: as Animal Science Foreman at Norfolk County Agricultural High School, where she managed daily farm operations and animal husbandry across a range of species. She's also pursued specialized training as a Mixed Animal Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, reflecting her interest in offering patients a well-rounded, thoughtful approach to care.
Dr. Morales's leadership extends beyond the clinic, too. She served as President of Ross University's VBMA chapter and as a Student Ambassador supporting veterinary students as they navigate their own career paths. Now, she's excited to bring that same dedication full circle, back to the place where her journey in animal care began.
Outside of the Clinic, Dr. Morales is happiest by the ocean, whether she's scuba diving or simply enjoying the water. She loves to travel, experience different cultures, and cook for others because she finds something truly special in bringing everyone together, feeding people and seeing them happy. That same spirit, curiosity, connection, and a genuine love of caring for others is exactly what she brings to every exam room, making her a natural fit for a team that treats pets (and their people!) like family.
Dr. Clarissa Flanagan
Dr. Clarissa Flanagan brings nearly a decade of hands-on veterinary experience to JM Pet Resort & Veterinary Clinic, with a well-rounded skill set spanning preventive care, diagnostics, and general surgery. She's especially attentive to thorough, thoughtful treatment planning, drawing on experience ranging from routine wellness visits to complex urgent care cases.
A graduate of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, Dr. Flanagan earned her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from MIT. During veterinary school, she co-founded and served as Co-President of the Tufts Chapter of the Women's Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative—an early sign of the mentorship-minded approach that continues to define her career today, most recently reflected in her completion of a formal Mentorship Certification Program.
Dr. Flanagan is known for building genuine trust with pet parents, communicating clearly through every step of a treatment plan, and bringing calm, capable care to every exam room, making her a wonderful addition to our Veterinary Clinic team.
When not at work, Dr. Flanagan enjoys spending time with her husband and son, their dog, Hattie, and cat, Dot. Together, they like to go to coffee shops, visit the library, go for walks to the park, and cuddle up for movie nights. Her hobbies include baking, tending her houseplants, and visiting local breweries.
Dr. Susanne Szekely
Dr. Susanne Szekely has 12 years of veterinary medicine and surgery experience working as an emergency room doctor. In that time, she pursued advanced training in surgery, neuro-surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry to bring top-notch surgical care to her patients. In 2021, Dr. Szekely completed her certification as a Veterinary Dental Practitioner through the International Veterinary Dental Institute.
When she's not in the Clinic, Dr. Szekely enjoys skiing, paddling, gardening and cultivating mushrooms. She has two dogs of her own: Sprocket, a 13- year-old ball-crazed Labradoodle, and a rambunctious 1-year old mutt named Mars.
