JM Pet Resort is thrilled to take part in Astro Loyalty’s Sharing the Love program. Through this program, we are able to offer FREE pet food to pets that were recently adopted from a 501(c)(3) rescue agency or animal shelter.
There’s nothing better than the unconditional love shared with a rescued animal. If you’ve adopted a pet before, you know the special bond that is created when you open your heart and home to a dog or cat who has been waiting to find their FUR-ever family. We know that feeling, and we want to share the love by welcoming your new fur-baby home with a special treat from us!

Who is eligible?
You are eligible if you’ve recently adopted a cat or dog from a 501(c)(3) rescue agency or animal shelter. There are many nonprofit rescues and shelters in our area focused on finding forever homes for incredible pets, including our good neighbor, the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM).
How do I know if the organization I adopted from is a 501(c)(3)?
You can often determine the status of an organization by taking a peek on the organization’s website. Many nonprofits list their 501(c)(3) in the footer or “About” section of their site. If you cannot find it online, reach out to the organization by email or phone to ask.
What free pet food products can I get?
Whether you’re adopting a canine or feline companion, you’ll get a choice of TWO free pet food items for your new furry family member. Simply stop in and ask us, and our team will show you exactly which participating brands and items you can choose from as part of your free food perk! Any of our pet care experts in our Retail Store can point you in the right direction.
If you adopted a dog, you’ll be able to choose one product from each of these categories:
- (1) dry dog kibble (up to 5 lb) from participating brands, such as Zignature
- (1) frozen raw dog food (up to 6 lb) from participating brands, such as Northwest Naturals
If you adopted a cat, you’ll be able to choose one product from each of these categories:
- 1 dry cat kibble (4 lb) from participating brands, such as Nulo
- 1 can wet food (2.82 oz) from participating brands, such as Fussie Cat
How to redeem your free food with the Sharing the Love program
Obtaining your free food with the Sharing the Love program is easy! Simply stop into our Retail Store at 1014 Pearl Street, and we’ll help from there. Let an associate know you recently adopted a pet and would like to receive Astro’s Sharing the Love Pet Adoption offer. Make sure you have the name of the 501(c)(3) rescue or shelter, as well as the date of the pet adoption. We’ll show you which participating brands you may choose from for your pup or kitty!
