What Can a Nutrition Consultation help with?

Consultations are always specific to your pet! Our nutritionists will listen to your concerns and get to know you and your pet. They’ll work with you to set goals and your pet’s potential medical needs and even factor in your financial concerns when making recommendations.

Our Nutrition Consultants can aid in:

  • Canine Nutrition
  • Feline Nutrition
  • Puppy and kitten introductory nutritional care
  • Senior pet nutrition (My old girl has bad hip dysplasia; what can I do to help her feel comfortable?)
  • Pets with specific medical needs (My cat has diabetes! What do I do? My dog is allergic to grains, help!)
  • Nutrition for working dogs
  • Nutrition for stage show dogs
  • Supplement care
  • Specific diet information (raw diets, gently cooked, grain-free, etc.)
  • Dermatology concerns (rashes, bumps, blisters, sores, etc. caused by allergies)

What do I need to bring to a Consultation?

  • Any questions you may have
  • Basic information about your pet like their age, breed, weight, temperament
  • A specific list of what your pet is consuming! This includes any ingestible food (including human food!), treats, supplements, medications, etc.
  • A note of any allergies your pet experiences or any other concerns we should know about

JM Pet Resort considers:

Cost. We know that pet nutrition can seem like a daunting investment, but the longevity and health of your fur baby doesn’t have to break the bank. Our Nutrition Consultants meet you where you’re at and make informed recommendations based on your goals.

Time. Are you a working parent? Don’t have a lot of time to prep food at home? We take into consideration your time and lifestyle to make things easier and more manageable.

Realistic progress. Crystal or Kathee will reach out to you and follow up to make sure recommendations are working for your pup or kitty. They will give a timeline for you to expect to see changes as your pet absorbs nutrients and adjusts to their new diet.
